April Club Series Report
Bremer simply dominates

The wind made for a challenge for RD Joe Walter. Several attemps were made to set up a windward/leeward course, but the wind just kept moving. It looked like it was finally settling in from the SE and so the course was moved around the lake where the shore would be parallel to the wind. As soon as the course was set, the wind shifted 180 degrees. Oh well, it is what it is and it was time to race.

Tony Rieck took the first heat by a wide margin and it looked like he was going to put his stamp on this regatta. But Baron Bremer, who finished a distant second had other plans. Baron took the next heat and just about everyone after that. He finished all but one heat in either first or second. Tony would hang tight with 3 bullets and John Garver and Tom Germer would each take home a win, but there was simply no catching Baron on this day.

After 8 heats were sailed the sky started moving in. We managed to get in two more heats before the huge black cloud was over us. So it was decided to stop at ten heats and pack up before the sky opened up on us. It was the right choice as about one minute after the last car left the lake, the rain came down in biblical proportions.
