July Club Series Report
Joe Walter takes the win in a close one

Skip Miller started the day where he left off last month, in first. The usual suspects, Baron Bremer, John Bottensek, and Joe Walter, were hot on his is trail though. There were five lead changes before things started to settle in after the 7th heat. All four of these guys scored bullets and John B posted 4 in a row to move to just 2 points out of first place in the 10th race. Unfortunately for John, he finished in last place in the last heat dropping him back to 3rd by only 1 point.

Tom Germer showed very good boat speed and was never far behind. Finishes were often quite close with 3 or 4 boats crossing the line within seconds of each other. Jason Hastings had his brand new boat out for its firt race. He did well with and just needs a little more stick time. New comer Martin Gray can hold his head up high for his first race. He has only had the boat a few weeks and is making it move pretty well. It is just a matter of time before these guys are taking home some bullets.

Grant Ward did his best to get to the lake, but we were told he had just driven into town from Pennsylvania. By the time he got his boat on the water, it was the last heat of the day. I think we might have all sailed a little longer, but a blck cloud was approaching fast. Tom Philips was RD for this event and did a great job setting up the course and keeping things running smoothly.

Jason Hastings will be RD next month.
